TrackVolt ("we", "our", "the app") is a fitness tracking application built for hybrid athletes. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data.
TrackVolt is an offline-first iPhone app. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal fitness data on our servers by default.
If you choose to enable Cloud Sync, your data will be stored in Firebase Firestore under your authenticated account. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can sign out or stop using Cloud Sync at any time. Completing TrackVolt account deletion from Settings removes the synced cloud data linked to that account.
TrackVolt may request access to your camera for barcode scanning, on-device Vision Coach analysis, meal photos, whiteboard scans, event scans, and progress photos. Barcode scanning and Vision Coach run on-device. When you use cloud AI image features such as meal photo analysis, whiteboard scans, or event scans, the images you submit are sent to Google's Gemini servers for analysis. Microphone and speech-recognition access are used for voice-guided workout logging. Audio is only captured when you actively start voice logging, and speech recognition may rely on Apple or browser speech services depending on your device. Camera and audio data stay on-device unless you explicitly use a feature that requires cloud processing.
If you grant access, TrackVolt can import sleep, HRV, heart rate, resting heart rate, steps, active calories, distance, weight, body fat percentage, and recent workouts from Apple Health, and can write saved workouts back to Apple Health. This data stays on-device by default. If you enable Cloud Sync, synced copies of your logged data are stored under your account in Firebase.
Menstrual cycle data stays on your device by default and is excluded from Cloud Sync. If you explicitly use AI planning features that rely on recovery context, TrackVolt may send a minimal cycle summary such as whether cycle tracking is enabled and your current phase. Raw cycle logs are not uploaded automatically. The data remains inaccessible to anyone other than you unless you explicitly export it or choose an AI feature that uses that summary.
TrackVolt uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage events — such as which features are used, when workouts are logged, and whether purchases complete successfully. No personal data, names, email addresses, health metrics, or workout content are included in these events. Analytics data is used solely to improve the app. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
TrackVolt provides AI-powered features such as AI Coach, meal photo analysis, whiteboard scans, and event scans using Google Gemini. When you use these features, the selected request data is routed through TrackVolt's Firebase-hosted backend and then sent to Google Gemini for processing. Depending on the feature, requests may include the text, images, and training, nutrition, or recovery context you choose to analyze. We do not send passwords, payment credentials, or full Apple Health exports in these requests. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Gemini: policies.google.com/privacy.
TrackVolt is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
