Overview

TrackVolt ("we", "our", "the app") is a fitness tracking application built for hybrid athletes. This policy explains what stays on your iPhone, what leaves it, and why.

Who We Are

TrackVolt is published by Imteyaz Ahmad, an individual developer based in Taiwan, who is responsible for the data described in this policy (the controller). Contact: support@trackvolt.app.

What Stays on Your iPhone

TrackVolt has no sign-up, no sign-in screen and no cloud sync in this version. Your workouts, meals, body measurements, cycle logs and the Apple Health data TrackVolt reads are stored on your iPhone.

• You can save a backup file at any time (You → Account & System → Backup & restore). The file goes wherever you choose in the iOS share sheet; TrackVolt does not receive it.
• We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers. TrackVolt contains no advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• Some features send specific data off your iPhone. Each one is described below.

Anonymous TrackVolt ID

TrackVolt creates an anonymous ID (an anonymous account) with Firebase Authentication (Google) the first time you use an AI feature, or when you tap Join or Create Gym in Gyms, if one does not exist yet. No email address, password or form is involved. The ID is used to authenticate AI requests, apply daily AI limits, check Pro access, and identify you in a gym you join or create.

While this ID exists:

• A copy of your TrackVolt profile is stored in Cloud Firestore (Google) under the ID. It is uploaded when the ID is created and updated when you change your profile. It contains the name you entered and the profile details you set, such as age, birthday, gender, height, weight, experience level, goal, training days and time, units, language, and nutrition and water targets.
• If you set up your training (such as equipment, skills, session length and level) or change certain settings, those choices are stored with the ID.
• Our servers keep a record of each AI request (which feature, which model and the size of the request), a daily count of your AI use and the times of recent requests for rate limits, linked to the ID.
• RevenueCat uses the ID as your app user ID (see Subscriptions), and our servers store your subscription status under it.
• If you allow notifications, your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored with the ID so we can send them.

Device Identifier

TrackVolt reads the identifier Apple gives to apps from the same developer (identifier for vendor). It is sent with AI requests and with the request that records when this iPhone's 14 days of free Pro access began, so that a new anonymous ID on the same iPhone does not restart them. That record is stored under the identifier, together with the anonymous IDs used on this iPhone. The RevenueCat software in the app also sends it to RevenueCat with purchase and subscription requests. It is not used for advertising.

AI Features (Google Gemini)

TrackVolt's AI features use Google Gemini, a third-party AI service. Before the first AI request, TrackVolt asks for your consent. You can withdraw it at any time in You → Account & System → Privacy Policy → "Stop sharing with AI"; the rest of the app keeps working.

AI requests go through TrackVolt's Firebase Cloud Functions to Google Gemini on Google Cloud. Each request carries your anonymous ID and the device identifier. Depending on the feature, a request may include:

• AI Coach: the name you entered, your goal, experience level and training days, your recent workouts, summaries of readiness, recovery, sleep, training load and protein, the message you type and the last few messages of the conversation.
• Athlete snapshot insight, AI weekly plan and Open Gym sessions: your name and training profile (goal, experience level, training days, weight), your recent workouts and personal records, and summaries such as training totals, training load, readiness, sleep, energy, soreness, today's protein and calories, protein average, weight trend and top lifts.
• Photo features: only the photo you pick, for whiteboard scans, meal photos, nutrition labels, event results and gym notices.

We do not send passwords, payment details, your raw Apple Health records or your full workout history in these requests. Summaries derived from your Apple Health data, such as sleep or recovery summaries, are included as listed above. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Gemini: policies.google.com/privacy.

Camera & Microphone

TrackVolt asks for camera access for barcode scanning, Vision Coach form analysis, and whiteboard, meal, nutrition-label and event photos. Vision Coach runs on your iPhone; its video and images never leave the device. Photos are sent off the device only when you use one of the AI photo features above. Voice input is not available in this version of the iPhone app, so TrackVolt does not use the microphone or speech recognition.

Food Search & Barcodes

When you search for a food or scan a barcode, the search text or barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central to look up nutrition data. These requests do not include your name or your TrackVolt ID.

Health Data

If you allow it, TrackVolt reads sleep, HRV, heart rate, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, steps, weight, body fat percentage and recent workouts from Apple Health, and writes the workouts you log back to Apple Health. TrackVolt does not upload your raw Apple Health records. Figures derived from them, such as sleep or recovery summaries, are included in AI requests you choose to make after giving AI consent, and your profile copy includes the weight on your profile. If you use the TrackVolt Apple Watch app, it reads heart rate, heart rate variability, active energy, distance and workouts during a workout, saves the completed workout to Apple Health and shares the results with the iPhone app. That data stays on your Apple Watch and iPhone and is handled like the Apple Health data described above.

Cycle Tracking

Cycle logs stay on your iPhone. If cycle tracking is on, Open Gym AI requests note that it is on; your current cycle phase is added only if you turn on the separate setting that allows it. TrackVolt never sends your raw cycle logs to its servers or to AI.

Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

Purchases are made through Apple. TrackVolt uses RevenueCat to check and restore subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase and subscription information together with an app user ID (your anonymous TrackVolt ID if one exists, otherwise an ID RevenueCat creates) and the device identifier, and tells our servers whether that ID has an active subscription. We never see your payment details.

Gyms

If you have no anonymous ID yet, tapping Join or Create Gym creates one, which uploads your profile copy and links the ID to RevenueCat as described under Anonymous TrackVolt ID. Your display name in a gym is the name on your profile. If you create or join a gym (box) in TrackVolt, information about that gym is stored in Cloud Firestore: the gym's name, location, invite code and time zone; each member's display name, role, membership status and check-ins; class schedules, bookings and waitlists; and the WODs, announcements and instructions that coaches post. Only the gym's active members and its owner can read the gym's details (name, location and invite code). When you join with an invite code, our server checks the code and returns only the gym's name and its internal ID. The member list, classes and posts are visible to the gym's members. When you create a gym, a message with the gym's name, location and creation time is posted to our team's workspace in Slack, a third-party service, so we know a new gym exists. It does not include the invite code, the gym's ID or your anonymous ID. That message is not removed when you delete your account.

Analytics

TrackVolt uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to record usage events, such as which screens and features are used and whether a purchase completed. Some events include small details such as a workout type, or the movement and result of a new personal record. No event includes your anonymous TrackVolt ID, your name or your email address; for example, acknowledging a coach signal is recorded without your ID. Some events carry an in-app reference instead: saving, opening or sharing a workout includes that workout's number in the app's database on your iPhone; coaching recommendation events include a random ID made for that recommendation; and some events include the ID of the movement, training track or achievement involved, the name of the gym demo page you opened, or the verification code of a proof link you opened. Crash Reports and Performance

When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives the error message, where in the app it happened, and the device model and OS version. Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google) receives timing data, such as how long key screens take to load and whether network calls succeed. We use this data only to find and fix problems.

Deleting Your Data

Once an anonymous ID exists, You → Settings → Account & system shows Delete Account. Delete Account:

• Deletes the anonymous ID (your anonymous account) and everything stored under it: your profile copy, your training setup and settings choices, your subscription status, your notification token, your daily AI use count and rate-limit records, coach signals delivered to you, and any app data synced by an earlier version of TrackVolt.
• Deletes our records of your AI requests, PR proof records (movement, value and date) uploaded by an earlier version of TrackVolt (this version does not upload them), and copies of your workouts stored in a gym.
• Removes your member record (display name, role and membership status) in every gym you joined or created, including any the app could not remove from your iPhone at the time. A gym you created is not removed.
• Erases the app's local database and account caches on this iPhone and disconnects RevenueCat from the ID on this iPhone.

What is kept after you delete:

• This iPhone's 14-day record: the device identifier, the platform, when the 14 days began, when the record was last updated, and the anonymous IDs used on this iPhone, including the deleted one. It is kept so that deleting and reinstalling the app cannot restart the 14 days of free Pro access.
• A deletion record with the deleted ID, when it was deleted, how many records of each kind were removed, how long the deletion took and any error messages from it. It contains no profile, workout or health content.
• A gym you created stays for its members until the gym is removed: its name, location, invite code and time zone, your anonymous ID as its owner, and the classes, WODs and posts you added. Your member record in it is deleted.
• In a gym you joined, your anonymous ID stays in that gym's class bookings, waitlists and check-ins, and in coach signals a coach sent you there.
• The purchase records Apple and RevenueCat hold for the ID.
• Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it in your Apple subscriptions in iOS Settings. If you had a subscription under the deleted ID, RevenueCat keeps reporting its renewals, cancellations, refunds, expiry and transfers for that ID. Once the deletion is complete, our servers do not store a subscription status for the deleted ID again; if the purchase is restored under another ID, that ID's record notes the deleted ID.
• The Slack message sent when you created a gym (see Gyms).
• Delete Account erases the app's data on this iPhone before it asks our server to delete the anonymous ID. If our server cannot finish deleting it at that moment (for example, when the request fails or times out), the app shows an error message instead of reporting the deletion as complete. The anonymous account record can then remain, together with the records only our server deletes: your subscription status, notification token, daily AI use count and rate-limit records, coach signals delivered to you, our records of your AI requests, PR proof records, copies of your workouts stored in a gym and your gym member records. Email support@trackvolt.app to have them removed.

To ask about anything that remains, or to request its removal, email support@trackvolt.app. Deleting the app also removes its data from your iPhone. Save a backup file first if you want to keep your log.

Why We Use Your Data

Where the law of your country requires a legal basis (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), we rely on these:

• To run the features you use (your anonymous ID, AI limits, subscription status, gyms and purchase checks): the processing is needed to provide TrackVolt to you.
• For AI features, including the sleep or recovery summaries derived from your Apple Health data that can go with an AI request: your consent, which you give on the AI consent sheet before the first request and can withdraw at any time (see AI Features).
• For analytics, crash reports and performance data, and for the 14-day record of this iPhone that stops the free days restarting: our legitimate interest in keeping TrackVolt working and secure and in preventing abuse of the free period.

How Long We Keep Data

• The anonymous ID and what is stored under it, including our records of your AI requests: until you delete the account with Delete Account, or ask us to.
• This iPhone's 14-day record and the deletion record (see Deleting Your Data): for as long as they are needed for the purposes described there. Email support@trackvolt.app to ask about them.
• Analytics, crash and performance data: according to the retention settings of those Google Firebase services.
• Your workouts, meals and other logs on your iPhone: until you delete them or delete the app.

Service Providers

These services receive or process data for TrackVolt, as described above:

• Google Firebase: Authentication (your anonymous ID), Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging (notifications), Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring.
• Google Gemini on Google Cloud Vertex AI, for AI features.
• RevenueCat, for purchases and subscriptions.
• Slack, for our team's notice when a gym is created.
• Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central, for food searches and barcode lookups.
• jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, for the exercise pictures in Open Gym's Browse exercises. It sees your iPhone's IP address and request details, not your name or TrackVolt ID.

These services may process data in the United States and other countries.

Your Rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, for a copy in a portable format, or to object to or restrict how we process it. Email support@trackvolt.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

TrackVolt is not intended for children under 13, or under the age at which your country lets a person consent to the processing of their own data, if that is higher (up to 16 in parts of Europe). We do not knowingly collect data from children below those ages. If you think a child has given us data, email support@trackvolt.app and we will delete it.
